Last weekend (24-25 March) saw a number of our enthusiastic Zinfra employees volunteer at the Melbourne Flower and Garden Show for charity Kids Under Cover. Kids Under Cover work to prevent youth homelessness. They build studios for young people who are at risk and they provide financial assistance for education and training to over 700 young people currently living in a Kids Under Cover studio.

Each year as part of the Melbourne International Flower & Garden Show KUC exhibit five of Australia’s best cubby houses before auctioning them off to raise money for the important work they do in preventing youth homelessness.

Volunteering tasks for the Zinfra crew included being a cubby supervisor in the Cubby House Village, and selling raffle tickets and merchandise pins to raise much needed funds for this really important cause. The team aced it and had a great time drumming up sales and keeping kids safe in the cubbies!

A big shout out too, to the Zinfra team of Mark A, Drew D, Craig B, Paul R, Ben G, Terry K and Stewart B who provided trucks and people power to help bump in and bump out the Cubbies – no small feat!

We acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the lands upon which we operate and recognise their continuing connection to land, waters, and culture. We pay our respects to their Elders past and present.
